1 package organic tempeh, cut into 1 small cubes
½ cup organic balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs organic maple syrup
2 Tbs organic tamari
2 cloves organic garlic, minced
¼ cup organic olive oil
1 tsp organic dried thyme
1 tsp dried dried basil
2 tsp arrowroot powder
Mix balsamic vinegar, maple syrup, tamari, garlic, olive oil, basil and thyme in a large bowl.
Add the tempeh, stir.
Cover and refrigerate 2-24 hours (the longer the better)
Preheat oven to 350.
Place tempeh mixture in a glass baking and bake covered for 18-22 minutes.
Remove from oven, stir well, and bake for another 20 minutes.
Remove tempeh cubes from sauce and set aside.
Place remaining sauce in a pan over medium heat.
Add arrowroot powder and stir vigorously to thicken.
Serve over greens or cooked grain of your choice!
