Oven Toasted Goat Cheese Stuffed Figs

Ingredients:
1 - 8 oz package of goat cheese
1-2 T maple syrup or honey
1 lb of figs of any kind (about 20 average size figs)
2 raw pecan halves per fig
4 T of brandy or apple juice
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400F
Wash & dry figs
Slice them length wise and remove a small portion of the seeds - set aside in baking dish
Mix goat cheese with maple syrup or honey
Place a large tea spoon in each fig
Gently press a raw pecan half on to each stuffed fig
Pour brandy into the bottom of the pan
Place in oven for 5-10 minutes - until the pecan has roasted, but not burnt
Allow to cool until they can be handled and serve
