Celebrating Sonoma County’s local, sustainable seafood all October long.

What Is Black Cod Month?

Black Cod Month is a county-wide collaboration between the Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) and Sonoma County Tourism, celebrating one of our region’s most sustainable and delicious local catches, Black Cod, also known as Sablefish or Butterfish.

Throughout October, local restaurants, wineries, and markets are featuring dishes and specials that highlight this buttery, nutrient-rich fish while supporting Sonoma County’s fishing community.
