A friend, mentor, and pillar of love in our Sebastopol community
From the moment we opened our Sebastopol store, Jeffrey Edelheit was there, greeting everyone with a radiant smile, a kind word, and an open heart. Day after day, he brought warmth, humor, and genuine connection to our café, filling it with laughter, wisdom, and love. In recent years, his loyal dog Pete became his constant companion, joining him on his daily visits and spreading the same joy and calm that Jeffrey did so naturally.
Jeffrey wasn’t just a customer; he was family. He believed in Community Market from the very beginning, championing our mission and celebrating our growth as if it were his own. He had a rare and beautiful gift: to make everyone feel truly seen, heard, and valued. Whether offering advice, sharing one of his famous “bad dad jokes,” or simply listening with care, Jeffrey met each person with presence and love.
Known affectionately as the unofficial mayor of Sebastopol, Jeffrey was a cornerstone of this community. His projects, passions, and constant efforts to uplift others reflected his lifelong commitment to health, healing, and human connection. He co-founded the Energy Wave Center, offered his gifts as a sound healer, and founded The Keifery, nurturing spaces where people could come together to learn, heal, and grow. Through his mentoring, countless lives were touched and inspired.
Jeffrey embodied love in motion. His heart seemed endless, always open, always giving. He was a blessing to everyone who knew him, and his presence continues to ripple through our store, our town, and all the lives he touched.
We will miss you deeply, Jeffrey.
